When I began pursuing my PhD in Social Welfare in 2012, I knew I wanted to provide learning experiences and help drive missions forward. Fourteen years later, my dissertation findings are published, and my commitment to designing learning experiences that maximize efficiency and achieve measurable solutions has grown.
I am dedicated to creating engaging and effective learning experiences that motivate and inspire —or, at the very least, make even the driest topics more enjoyable and less painful!
Throughout my journey, I've observed that (1) adult learners advancing their careers truly thrive in my learning experiences and (2) time, engagement, and key performance indicators are of the essence when learning is results-driven. This led me to pursue a career in Learning and Development. Using everything I have learned from social work with its attention to context, and higher education systems striving for inclusion, I am looking for work in Learning & Development with a focus on instructional design roles.
I have authored eight peer-reviewed articles and presented at National Conferences on topics spanning organizational change, microaggressions, intersectionality, domestic violence, and resilience of young adults experiencing homelessness.
Based in Buffalo, NY, I love that my city offers many highlights of urban arts and culture within a short drive to a quiet walk in the woods where you can't hear or see cars. I enjoy board games (for all ages) and try to step outside my comfort zone regularly. Many inspiring people have supported my learning journeys, and I wish to pay it forward.
